Rejoice Today! Biography

BIO FOR

JOHN H. DUMKE SR. & NITA RAYE DUMKE

John writes with much advice and counsel from his "treasure", Nita Raye. They have had the joy of ministering and showing God’s love to people in all walks of life. Some live in mansions, others in a home like yours; some in homeless shelters others were in jails and prisons. All had lived through pain and tragedy. John says: "It seems God has called us to minister to the wounded, people Jesus reached out His hand to comfort and heal while He walked the earth. What a privilege to be involved in His ministry of compassion".

John and Nita Raye have lived in the Omaha Nebraska area since shortly after their marriage on April 14, 1966. They have 6 grown children and 13 grandchildren oh yes and a new Great-Grandson!

"All of us experience times of distress and darkness, when life seems meaningless. Our 'Sabbatical' from normal life created a period of serious spiritual reflection. Sometimes we are on a life course, which is not headed in the direction God wants. He sees the end from the beginning and orders a course correction for our benefit and His glory. Only now can we see the wisdom of that correction. At the time all we could see was darkness. However out of that darkness came a clearer understanding of God’s love and grace, and the ability to help others though counsel in person and in our writings", John says.

It was during this time that over 100 poems were written, almost as many uplifting writings were penned and the idea of the book in progress, "The Majesty, The Mystery and The Mission of Marriage" came into being. You can read the early work of this book on their website, www.rejoicetoday.com

Introduction

What is it about rejoicing that would cause the Holy Spirit to direct us to do it from the beginning to the end of the Bible? To answer the question we must first define the meaning and the reason a person might rejoice. Webster says to rejoice is; "to give joy to; to cheer; to gladden; to exult; to triumph. That is what Peter, Paul, John, James, and multitudes of others have done, sometimes in the most difficult situations and that is what we are instructed to do daily. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say Rejoice!! We want to encourage all our readers to rejoice daily. Rejoice today! Yes today! I don't know what is happening in your life, but it doesn't matter, rejoice anyway. It does the heart good to raise your hearts and hands to heaven and praise God, thank Him for His many blessings and rejoice because you are His child. Have you read "Prison to Praise" by Merlin Crauthers? Read It, and other books that encourage praise, worship, and rejoicing. Make it a habit to begin each day with praise and rejoicing and end each day with thanksgiving and rejoicing.

We are to rejoice in worshiping God;
For the wonderful place God gave us to live.
With the wife of our youth.
With our children In our labors
In triumphs In failures
In all things!

Rejoice in the Lord always; And again I will say Rejoice!!

Rejoice as you read the stories, poems and other writings; some will make you laugh, some will make you cry, but all will point your heart to God and His Son Jesus, the anointed one, Christ. Feel free to download and print those that will help you or a loved one draw closer to God.

Bless you in the name of Jesus our redeemer
